Since moving to Herne Bay in Kent and sea swimming through the year my observations and preoccupation with the sea, bird life and flora is more immersive than ever before. The precious objects portrayed in still lives are often linked to living by the sea. There is a nostalgia in Jo's work as it draws the viewer into share her experience.
