3 WEEK Drawing Course with Jo Oakley

3 Week Course starting on Wednesday 23rd February for three consecutive weeks, on Wednesday 2nd March and the final event on Wednesday 9th March. 

I really wanted to start 2022 with some evening courses encouraging people to find some time for themselves and discover how it feels to express yourself and feel free within this medium. I believe drawing is fundamental, but through years of teaching but have noticed the fear around mark making instead of something to be enjoyed.  This is a 3 week course where we will start the class warming up, talking about how to use a pencil or graphite, different mark making and then we will work on one large, sustained and expressive drawing from still life. This will be a still life instillation set up in the gallery.

My intention is that you come away with not only a competent drawing but also the confidence to use mark making and sketching as part of your creative life.

All materials will be included.
