"Truth Is a Rock"

"Truth Is a Rock"

The 'dresser' paintings have become a bit of a signature for me but each one has a different motivation brought about by the love of the objects they portray. The objects have a narrative of their own. They have been found or gifted, I live with them and they really do talk to me.

The oxalis was on my Nana's kitchen shelf and its a way of bringing her back to me, we shared so much and I miss her physical presence.

A plate bought by my daughter for Mother's Day - words on a jug that resonates at that time. All these elements sit together in the paining and in my heart.
