Reflection

Looking back so that I can move forwards. The mild temperatures are intermittent, it's damp and dark, the twinkle of Christmas is behind us, my license to eat chocolate is over!

It's time for Wintering, accepting the quiet and the dark, building a fire and lighting candles. Sitting with all this season brings.

I'm not a resolution advocate, but I do love pausing to have a look at my achievements recognising personal growth and then putting a discerning eye over areas that need change. Things that feel uncomfortable. What has become glaringly obvious to me is painting was too scarce last year, so I need to streamline other areas that take up too much of my thoughts.

Becoming a 60 year old woman has highlighted the importance of how I spend my time and who with! It's valuable.

On the cards this month is an exhibition, Lino4 that I'm part of at The Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable. New plans for prints are afoot and the fruits of my labour will be on show in early February. There is a fantastic line up pf artists so it's not one to miss.

So off I got to get on with it!

Happy New Year!
